California trip

We had lots of fun going to Cali to visit my family. I was really worried about the drive with 2 little boys, but thanks to the McDonald's playplace and gas stations with candy, we survived! Here are some pics from our trip...

My little Logan is already 8 weeks old! I love his new baby smell and how little he still is.

This is my cute Grandpa meeting Logan for the first time.

We went swimming and Logan loved being in the sun but hated being in the water!

We got to do lots of shopping at this new outdoor mall in Glendale called the Americana. It is the most beautiful place to shop with fountains, twinkle lights, and this huge chandelier right above the walking paths. I could have spent a lot of time (and Money) there :)Of course we hit the beach and had lots of fun there. Logan even got to take a dip in the ocean! (isn't my Mom so cute?!)

Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun trip. We had a great time and are already planning our next visit!

Happy 1 month!

Yesterday Logan turned 1 month old! It's hard to believe that my little newborn is already a month. He is such a sweet boy, except when he's hungry, and he is sleeping really well during the night. Here is a picture of him wearing one of my favorite outfits. The bottom pic is of Noah wearing the same outfit at 1 month.

2 week stats

Logan had his 2 week appointment last Friday. He is looking great and growing so fast!
Here are his stats:

Height 20" 24th%
Weight 7.13 24%
Head circumference 14" 20%

It is so funny to me how opposite my 2 boys are. Noah has always been in the 90's and from birth has looked like a little linebacker. Logan is just a little skinny guy, but he is slowly getting some cheeks. He is a really good eater and is nursing constantly so unfortunately, he won't stay little for long. He has 2 dimples and I tried to get them on camera. This is the best I could do:

Logan's birth story (finally)

I am so behind on my blogging! I have been wanting to post about Logan's delivery, mainly so I don't forget the details.
It started very early in the morning on May 7th. I woke up at about 2:30 in the morning with very sharp contractions. I wasn't sure if they were real or not so I started timing them. At that time they were coming at random times so I tried to sleep some more. Well, that didn't last long because they became more painful and were now at 5 minutes apart. I woke Jason up and we decided that this was the real thing. So, we got the bags ready and got Noah in the car. I was in so much pain and now the contractions were coming every 2 minutes. We live about 4 blocks away from the hospital and in the time it took to get there, I had 3 contractions! Anyway, we got there at 4:00am and I was at 3 centimeters. When we walked in, Dr. Watabe was there on call so that was nice to know he was ready for the baby to come. They made me labor in that room for about another hour and a half. I guess they determined that I was in fact in labor, so I got to go to a delivery room.
(This is the last picture of my big belly and Noah as an only child.)
Progress was moving pretty quickly so I got an epidural about an hour later. That was heaven sent! The nurses checked me and I was at a 7, so Jason decided to go to the cafeteria and get some breakfast. Shortly after he left the nurse checked me again because the contractions were really strong and about a minute apart. I was now at a 9-9.5 so she said I could start pushing in about 10 minutes. Well, Jason was still at breakfast and happened to be in the elevator when I called him so he didn't get the call. Meanwhile, the nurses and Doctor are waiting so that Jason can be there for the big moment. Finally one of the nurses gets on the loud speaker and pages Jason to my room. He got there shortly after (I thought it was pretty funny!). After about 3 contractions and 6 pushes later...baby Logan was here! Born at 8:55 am on May 7th. He came so quickly and everything went very smoothly. I couldn't have asked for a better delivery. Logan was named for the city that Jason and I got married in, we were married in the Logan temple. His middle name is Dean after Jason's dad. We love our little Logan and have had fun watching his personality come out. Noah adores his little brother, most of the time. He always says, "Awww, baby Logan, my little brother". It is so cute!

Noah is 3!

Noah celebrated his 3rd birthday on Friday and we celebrated all weekend! We took him to dinner at McDonald's and he got to play in the playplace. He probably asks me everyday if we can go to McDonald's. We also took him to Boondocks to play miniature golf. Golfing is Noah's most favorite thing to do and he had lots of fun. Of course he wore his "golf" shoes too! We hoped that he could go on the go carts with Jason, but he's got about 2 more inches to grow. He was pretty sad about that!
While my parents were here last weekend for Logan's blessing, they took Noah and cousin Tatum to Build-A-Bear for their birthdays. Noah chose a cute teddy bear whom he named Fuzzy and dressed him in a cute little golf outfit complete with clubs. Fuzzy is now the new Diego. He also got a huge baloon bouquet from Grandma and Grandpa. He was so excited about his baloons, especially the super humongous balloon.
We ended the celebration with a lightning McQueen cake and presents. (jason decorated the cake!)

He got playdoh, a McQeen sleeping bag/air mattress, clothes and shoes, a nerf gun, and some other fun things but his favorite gift was from Grandma Melanie. She gave him Gator golf and it has been a hit with Noah! (I love his posing-for-a-picture smile!)

Happy Birthday little Noah, you are not so little anymore!
