Logan's newborn pics

When Logan was 1 week old, we were able to get his pictures taken by a wonderful and very talented photographer named Sara Boulter. She needed a newborn to photo for a mentouring session she was giving, and picked Logan to photo. Thank you so much to Carly for letting me know about it! We were able to get this session done for free and I am so happy about how they turned out!

It took about 2 hours to get Logan to sleep for these pictures but it was worth it for these beautiful pictures of my tiny little guy.

Carnival

Noah got to go to the carnival on Saturday as a potty training reward. We are definitely still in diapers, but we're getting there! The only rides he wanted to go on all had steering wheels for him to drive. Silly boy!

2 months old!

Logan had his 2 month appointment yesterday. He was such a good boy! Here are the stats:

Height: 22.5" 25%

Weight: 11 lbs 1 oz 27%

head circumference: 15.5" 29%

He had to get 3 shots and of course he cried for that but calmed down quickly. Last night, after the appointment, he had a hard time being comforted because his little legs were sore. After some tylenol and a good nights sleep, he is back to normal.
He is growing so fast and is finally starting to get a little chub on him, but he's mostly belly.
Things he can do right now are, follow us with his eyes, he almost always smiles when you talk to him (especially for Daddy), and he will turn his head when he hears Mom, Dad, or Noah speaking. He is nursing really well but is such a little oinky, he gets some formula too. He is also sleeping through the night, which makes Mommy really happy! He rarely sleeps during the day for more than 10 minutes, so I am learning to do things 1-handed, and he spends a lot of time in the sling and swing. He has brought our family so much joy, we are so grateful for our little Logan!

Kite flying

Noah has been waiting for a windy day for a while so he could fly his Lightning McQeen kite. Finally, yesterday evening was windy enough for him to do that!

Before they went out, Jason was working on our budget as we embark on getting pre-approved for a home loan, when I mentioned kite flying, he jumped right up to take Noah outside. He is such a great involved Daddy and helps me so much with the boys. I am so lucky to have you Jas!

Independence Day

I love that we have a holiday to celebrate our freedom! We celebrated by going to a barbeque at my Aunt Marnie's house and swimming and visiting with family. It started out cloudy but got really nice! I was on baby duty but Jason and Noah had lots of fun playing in the water. These are the 3 cousins all born within a few weeks of eachother. Logan is on the bottom, Kye is on the top left and Daniel is on the right. Aren't they cute?!

That night we watched the fireworks and did some of our own. My cousin Amber and her kids joined us and they all loved watching the fireworks!

Noah's traumatic day

Today was an eventful day for us. Noah decided to shove an air soft gun BB in his ear! I tried to get it out but I was too scared I would push it further in so I called Jason. He came home from work to help get the BB out. We tried a bulb syringe, long needle nose tweezers, and rigged up the vacuum to a small hose to suck it out. None of them worked so we called the pediatrician. They referred us to an ear, nose and throat doctor and we went in right away. She said that at least once a week they have little boys coming in for the xact same thing! (At least my child isn't the only one!) Anyway, she tried to get it out with this sucky wand thingy but it didn't work. She then stuck this paper strip to the little BB with superglue and she was able to pull it out a little. She tried the sucky wand thingy again and.... it came out!

It was so hard for Noah not to touch it!

Here is the little ball that made Noah's ear it's home for 3 hours. Of course it is orange...Noah's favorite color! He was such a good boy during the whole traumatic ordeal. He actually fell asleep while the doctor was suctioning the ball out of his ear. As a reward for being so good, we got some gummy worms and went swimming in his little kiddie pool in the backyard.We have since thrown all of the BB's away and i'm pretty sure Noah has learned his lesson about sticking things in his ear!
